Winfield Police Department

 •Alarm: Officers responded Wednesday to the 600 block of W. Eighth Ave.

•Criminal damage to property: The City of Winfield was a victim Wednesday in the 200 block of Main St.

Hit and run: Karen L. Archer, Winfield, was a victim Wednesday in the 100 block of E. 12th Ave.

•Leaving scene of accident, duty to report an accident, careless driving: John J. Behnken, Winfield, was arrested/cited Wednesday in the 2200 block of Pike Road.

•Hit and run: Laci D. Jenkins, Winfield, was a victim Wednesday in the 1400 block of E. Sixth Ave.

•No city pet license, dog at large: Jeffery A. Bowker, Winfield, was cited Wednesday in the 1400 block of E. Second Ave. 

Arkansas City Police Department

•Non-injury accident: Bernard Betzen, Geuda Springs, Andrew Gondoly and Jeremy Trevino, both of Arkansas City, were victims Wednesday in the 800 block of W. Maple.

•Criminal trespass: An Arkansas City woman was a victim Wednesday in the 1500 block of E. Chestnut.

•Burglary, theft: An Arkansas City man was a victim Wednesday in the 1300 block of N. 12th.

•Bench warrant: Kassi McBride, Arkansas City, was arrested Wednesday in the 500 block of North C.

•Non-injury accident: Christopher Rogers, Winfield, and Malcolm Pink II, Arkansas City, were victims Thursday in the 1800 block of N. 12th.

Cowley County Sheriff’s Department

•Motorist assist: Deputies were dispatched Wednesday to the 6000 block of 332nd Road for a motorist who was stuck in the snow. They were going to return later to get the vehicle.

•Vehicle check: Deputies checked a vehicle Wednesday in the 32000 block of 61st Road that was stuck in the ditch. The vehicle was off the roadway with no one around.

•Lost dog: Deputies took a call of a lost dog Wednesday in the 23000 block of 31st Road. The dog is a black and tan bloodhound named Maggie. She has a green collar with a vaccination tag from Winfield Veterinary Hospital with the dog’s name on the tag. Please call the sheriff’s office if you have seen this dog or know its whereabouts.

•Vehicle check: Deputies were dispatched Wednesday to the 8000 block of U.S. 77 for a vehicle that had slid into the ditch. Driver was given a ride to Udall to wait for a friend to come and get them. Vehicle removed later in the day.

•Vehicle check: Deputies checked a vehicle stuck in a snow drift Wednesday in the 3000 block of 182nd Road. Owner contacted and vehicle to be removed later in the day.

•Complaint: Deputies took information Wednesday regarding someone driving a vehicle in a wheat field in the 18000 block of 101st Road.

•Motorist assist: Deputies were dispatched Wednesday to the 24000 block of U.S. 77 regarding a subject with a flat tire. The driver stated they had help coming with a spare tire.

•Welfare check: Deputies were dispatched Wednesday to the 8000 block of 91st Road. While en route, deputy was disregarded, as contact had been made with the subject.

•Medical call: Deputies were dispatched Wednesday to the 13000 block of 91st Road to assist Winfield EMS.

•Burglary, theft, criminal damage to property: Deputies were dispatched Wednesday to the 29000 block of Eastridge Dr. Taken was a lawn mower, the lawn mower trailer and a battery charger.

•Vehicle blocking road: Deputies were dispatched Wednesday to the 21000 block of U.S. 160 for a semi-tractor trailer blocking the roadway. Deputy stood by for traffic control until the wrecker service arrived.

•Civil issue: Deputies were called Wednesday regarding personal property in the 4000 block of 332nd Road.

•Vehicle check: Deputies were dispatched Wednesday to the 11000 block of 112th Road. The vehicle had already been checked by the Kansas Highway Patrol and marked for tow.

•Curfew check: Deputies conducted a curfew check Wednesday for the Cowley County Drug Court in the 500 block of North C. St. During the check, Kassi Sue McBride, Arkansas City, was arrested for failure to appear. She was booked into Cowley County Jail and has since posted bond and been released.

•Burglary alarm: Deputies were dispatched Wednesday to the 23000 block of Avery Ave. A door was found unsecured. The building was secured and the contact person notified.

•Battery on a correctional officer: Deputies were dispatched Wednesday to Cowley County Jail in the 900 block of Fuller.

•Curfew checks: Deputies conducted 30 curfew checks Thursday in Arkansas City and Winfield for the Cowley County Drug Court.
