The Winfield High School Class of 1973 held their 40th reunion on Oct. 18-19.

On Friday night, class members and guests met at the home of Pat and Kristi (Kline) Biddle for snacks, beverages and socializing.  A very challenging game of Winfield trivia was played which included people and places of our younger days and focused on classmates’ ties to the community.  his was accompanied by our favorite music, played by our favorite DJ, Neil Reeves. Later, the more agile and uninhibited members of the class participated in a Contra Dance. No immediate injuries were reported. The balance of the evening was spent visiting, reminiscing and catching up. Many old stories were told and retold and a few new ones were added to the class lore.

On Saturday morning, several people participated in a class golf tournament at Quail Ridge Golf Course. A group also met for lunch and more visiting at Montana Mike’s Steak House.

Saturday night’s events at Quail Valley Farm consisted of a social hour, barbecue dinner and presentation of awards from the golf tournament. David Fritzlen was the emcee for the evening, and Neil Reeves again provided the musical background. The class picture was taken, and the remainder of the time was spent visiting. A total of 82 people attended the various weekend activities with 56 of those being class members.

The reunion committee was comprised of Kristi and Pat Biddle, Susan (Bogner) and Jim Finney, David Andreas, David Fritzlen, Kathy (Sallee) Wohlgemuth, Sarah (Johnson) Langenwalter, Pam King, Gil Flock, Neil Reeves, Bill Condit and Ann Richardson.
