Grace United Methodist welcomed a new pastor, the Rev. Lora Andrews, on July 1.

Andrews is a lifelong United Methodist, baptized in Salina and raised in Hillsboro.  She attended Kansas State University and received her bachelor of science degree in secondary education-English. While at K-State, she became deeply involved with K-State Wesley, and through this experience, she discerned God’s call in her life to pursue ordained ministry. After graduating from college, Andrews received a generous scholarship from Vanderbilt Divinity School in Nashville, Tenn., where she spent the last three years. During this time she served as a student pastor at East End UMC while pursuing her master of divinity degree.

She is excited to click her heels and return to Kansas to continue this journey of sharing God’s love with others.

The Rev. Andrews will present her first sermon to Grace UMC, “A Cup of Cold Water,” this Sunday at 10:50 a.m. Following worship, there will be a potluck dinner in fellowship hall at Grace sponsored by the Grace United Methodist Church Transition Team. Please join them in making Lora Andrews feel welcome at Grace UMC and in Winfield.

For more information, contact Grace United Methodist Church, 320 College St, Winfield, KS. 67156; or call 221-0618; or email
