WCF escapees still on the loose

Two inmates that escaped from the Winfield Correctional Facility Thursday evening morning remain at large, a correctional facility spokesperson said this morning.
“Unfortunately, there’s no change in status at this time,” said Robbie Reynolds, WCF policy and compliance manager.
Around 9:05 p.m. Thursday, two offenders from WCF were declared on escape status.
Scott Dwyer is a 40-year-old white male who stands 5 feet 9 inches and weighs 175 pounds. He has short cropped brown hair and blue eyes.
Wayne Purdy is a 31-year-old white male who stands 6 feet 1 inch and weighs 165 pounds. He has brown hair, green eyes and a full beard.
Dwyer arrived at WCF on Nov. 18, 2009. He has a history of convictions for burglary, theft, criminal damage to property and drug possession out of Sedgwick, Sumner, Cowley, Wilson, Butler and Greenwood counties. His earliest release date is Feb. 12, 2012.
Purdy arrived at WCF Nov. 16, 2009. His criminal history includes burglary, theft, arson and criminal damage to property out of Sedgwick and Labette counties. His earliest release date is May 9, 2018.
All local law enforcement agencies have been notified and are actively assisting in the search for these offenders. Anyone with information about these offenders is encouraged to contact the local law enforcement agencies at 911.
